The vine density also varies according to the age of the vineyards. In the older vineyards there are about 3000 plants per hectare, while in the younger ones there are up to about 6000 plants per hectare. On an average per year about 45.000 bottles of wine are produced, of which 36,000 are Chianti Classico, 5,000 are Poggio al Mandorlo and 4,000 are Chianti Classico Riserva.
